Polestar Shares Details About Their Climate-Neutral Polestar 0 EV Project
The EV manufacturer is working hard to produce the first zero-emissions electric vehicle
As Swedish EV manufacturer Polestar increases production of vehicles in what is still the early stages of the company’s growth, they have simultaneously begun working on their biggest project yet. Specifically, this is their Polestar 0 project, which they hope will be the first ever zero-emissions car, is something they are striving to accomplish by the end of the decade. Despite the enormity of the undertaking, recent updates suggest they are making excellent progress on their ambitious goal.
Polestar has grown at a faster rate than many of their competitors in the electric vehicle space. In 2020, they took in $645 million in revenue, which WCCTech indicates was an increase of 600% relative to 2019. That was followed up by selling 29,000 vehicles in 2021, which was a 185% increase in sales year over year. They hope to sell an additional 65,000 EVs in 2022, which if realized would be another 124% increase from the previous year.
Polestar first publicly mentioned their Polestar 0 project last April. They hope to have it completed by 2030, which gives them some time to get all the pieces together. This vehicle is being planned…
