Why Tesla Is About To Do Something That CEO Elon Musk Hates

There are seemingly few companies with CEOs as involved as Elon Musk is with his EV (and other technologies) company, Tesla. He has a solid grasp on the day-to-day operations, and it’s hard to imagine that much goes on there without his explicit knowledge and say so. That’s why it’s so surprising that he recently announced Tesla is about to start doing something that he personally hates and is totally against — advertising.

Electrek’s Fred Lambert recently reported on recent remarks made by Musk at an annual shareholder meeting in Austin, Texas regarding advertising, something the billionaire has publicly denounced and avoided in the past as he has built Tesla into a behemoth with a market cap of around a half a trillion dollars.
