Why Critics Of College Student Debt Forgiveness Can Go Straight To Hell

Working to eliminate staggering college loan debt should be seen as a positive by society

A recent red-hot button topic is that of the Federal government potentially forgiving some portion of outstanding college debt. As President Joe Biden continues to consider how he will address student loan forgiveness; a topic he originally embraced while on the campaign trail, lines are rapidly being drawn in the sand dividing those who support such measures and those who are in opposition for a variety of reasons. It’s true that everyone has an opinion, but when it comes to this important issue common sense dictates that those who oppose this forgiveness can go straight to hell.

Yahoo! Finance’s Aarthi Swaminathan recently reported on the division over the potential wide-spread student loan forgiveness being weighed by the Biden administration. While full forgiveness is not expected, the potential exists for a large number of Americans with school debt to see a significant portion of what they owe being excused. Any such erasing of debt would fall back on tax dollars, thus creating one of the first areas of contention.
