The stark reality of the answers from women asked to choose their preference of meeting a strange man or a wild bear is a sad commentary on society
An innocent hypothetical question posed to a small group of women as part of a social media post is creating quite a kerfuffle. When the women were asked if they would rather encounter a wild bear or a man they didn’t know if they were alone in the woods, the answers that were elicited were both shocking, and at the same time, not at all. Regardless, this exercise in comparison should serve as a major wakeup call to men everywhere to get their act together and truly examine their behavior.
In a recent post on TikTok, account Screenshot HQ posted a video where they asked seven women if they would rather encounter a strange man or a bear if they were alone in the forest. The overwhelming answers have sparked conversation because they are revelatory as they are shocking. Six of the seven women polled indicated they would rather meet a bear, which given the animal’s reputation for power and potentially lethal aggression depending on the circumstances, spoke volumes about the reality of such feelings.
