“Rawdogging a flight” is a slang term that has surged in popularity recently, especially in the context of social media and travel discussions. The term “rawdogging” originally comes from other slang meaning to do something without protection or preparation, often used in a sexual context. However, when applied to air travel, it simply means flying without any added comforts or preparations — essentially, going through the flight experience in the most basic way possible.

Particularly on social media, people have increasingly enjoyed posting about rawdogging their travels through the air.It has become a de facto challenge to make a post or video outlining the lengths gone through to complete a trip with the least frills possible. The longer the voyage, the more credibility for the willpower and skills involved in keeping things so basic.
