The Shocking Recent Job Hunting Survey That Suggests American Society May Be Near Collapse
Young people are increasingly becoming less self-reliant, instead deferring to their parents as adults
Times are always changing, sometimes for the better and other times for the decidedly worse. It’s easy to view such evolution and reminisce about the good old days, but in some cases it’s easy to see that we’re headed for major trouble with the new direction of things. That seems to be most certainly the case given shocking information that came out recently about the job seeking habits of our younger generation, which are so bad it’s hard to imagine a successful future.
In April, 2024, ResumeTemplates.com conducted a survey of 1,428 American people who fall into the category of Generation Z (age 18–27) and had been on searches for employment during the course of the past year. The data they gleaned showed heavy reliance on others, and a horrifying degree of helicopter parents apparently finding it difficult to send their children out into the world to fend for themselves.
