Actor Errol Flynn became a legendary figure in Hollywood due to his devastatingly good looks and swashbuckling bravado in many of his movies. Unfortunately, his son made significant headlines of his own after the photojournalist disappeared in 1970 while taking photos in Saigon during the Vietnam War. He has never been found and was eventually legally declared dead.

A native of Australia, Errol Flynn found himself in Hollywood after careers as a bank clerk, and mining for gold and farming tobacco in Papua New Guinea didn’t pan out. His handsome features and suave demeanor helped launch a career with famous films such as Captain Blood and The Adventures of Robin Hood. However, his career languished as it went on, marred by his reputation for being a womanizer (including charges of alleged statutory rape in 1942 of which he was eventually acquitted) and drinker), along with a series of underperforming films.
