Every Summer Olympics, there is a number of human interested stories that emerge from the diverse group of athletes who assemble to compete for medals and glory. One of the most unique to come out of the 2024 Paris Games is the story of Italian gymnast, Giorgia Villa, who has garnered widespread attention because she is literally sponsored by Parmesan cheese.

Born in 2003 in Bergamo, Italy, Villa has risen through the ranks of gymnastics since an young age. Her ability has earned her numerous accolades, including medals at the European Championships and the Youth Olympic Games. Especially known for her precision, strength, and artistic flair, she has become a popular Italian athlete.

In a collaboration that has captured much interest,Villa was signed to be the face of Parmigiano Reggiano cheese, which is often referred to as the “King of Cheeses.”Parmesan is deeply rooted in Italian culture and history.
