James Scott has been behind bars for more than 30 years for intentionally flooding a small Missouri community by damaging a Mississippi levee
Married life changes a person. No longer are you responsible for just yourself. Compromise and consideration are needed in order to have a solid union. Those who can’t abide by such expectations are frequently courting trouble, but none as severe as what a Missouri man named James Scott faced more than 30 years ago, when he was convicted for intentionally causing a massive flood in order to strand his wife so he could party without repercussions.

Fortunately, nobody lost their life as a result of this disaster.
