Teaching The Older Crowd 10 Current Slang Phrases So They Can Add Some Rizz To Their Lives

In American popular culture, it’s nearly impossible to keep up with the flow of slang that catches on; most usually with younger people. In an effort to keep on top of the ever updating English language, here are 10 more recent examples and their meanings so older folks, like myself, can add some rizz to their conversations.

Rizz — Short for charisma, this is typically used to describe someone’s ability to attract others with their personality. Example: “He’s got mad rizz with everyone he meets.”

Bussin’ — Something that is really good. It usually refers to food and beverages. Example: “This triple cheeseburger is bussin’!”

Yeet — To throw something with force or to exuberantly express excitement or approval. Example: “He just yeeted a spoonful of pudding across the cafeteria and hit Ryder in the head.”

Drip — Stylish or fashionable, or putting an outfit on display Example: “Check out his drip; he always wears designer clothes.”

Receipts — Providing proof or evidence of a claim of something — usually unexpected. It’s often used in the context of exposing…
