Teacher Facing Criminal Charges For Crypto Mining Operation In High School Crawl Space
A Massachusetts’ educator is in hot water for allegedly using his former workplace to set up secret crypto mining
Although cryptocurrency is still well off of all-time highs, it is still a popular and vibrant space with many investors hoping to make big future gains. In addition to simply investing in various cryptos, some people take the additional step of actually mining it, which typically requires a lot of time and energy (electric). Accordingly, some miners seek alternative ways to harvest, which allegedly includes a former high school teacher from Massachusetts who was charged after a secret mining operation was discovered in his school’s crawl space.
Yahoo! Finance’s Nikki Main reported on the case of Nadeam Nahas, a 39-year-old former teacher at Cohasset High School. The educator resigned from his job in 2022 and is currently facing legal charges following the discovery of an illicit crypto mining operation in the bowels of his school that was operating off their electric grid.
