Nearly all of us have strange or unhealthy obsessions with the most random things that most others simply wouldn’t understand. Naturally, that extends to celebrities as well, including the likes of famed author Stephen King, who found himself on the brink of divorce in the past because of his unusual infatuation with the cult favorite song, Mambo №5.
The writer, who has published over 65 books and novellas. They have sold hundreds of millions of copies, with many being made into Hollywood movies. Despite his success, it turns out that he is actually human just like the rest of us. Zach Sharf of Variety (as published on Yahoo!) recently wrote about King’s unusual obsession with Lou Bega’s popular 1999 song, Mambo №5.
Although the song became a chart topper, it was also polarizing, with passionate fans being countered by those who detested its zippy track. According to Sharf, in a recent interview with Rolling Stone, King revealed that he enjoyed and played the song so much that his wife threatened to divorce him. He explained the depths of his depravity, which pushed his spouse to the brink of her patience:
