Customers most typically digest new products they intend to buy with their eyes first, making aesthetic value a premium for the companies that manufacture them. However, that doesn’t always have to necessarily hold true for something to be successful. At least that is what Shark Tank’s Kevin O’Leary is saying, as he believes that Tesla’s upcoming Cybertruck is “Really ugly,” but also that it will do very well in sales.

The Canadian born O’Leary was a co-founder of Softkey Software Products, which produced computer software focused on family education and entertainment. Purchased by Mattel in 1999, the proceeds from his company’s sale made him a millionaire many times over, and he has since transitioned to a new career in investing, writing and television — including his well known turn as a lead investor on the star-up show Shark Tank. He now regularly appears on all forms of media discussing finance and investing on the regular. It is estimated that the 68-year-old is worth in excess of $400 million.
