Multiple Upgrades Confirmed On 2024 Polestar 2
The Swedish electric vehicle company is following up strong 2022 sales with some big changes to their Polestar 2 model
Polestar (PSNY) has rapidly emerged as one of the most successful players in the electric vehicle space. In addition to continuing to work on developing their technology, they have also seen the number of vehicles they are producing and getting into the hands of customers rising. Now comes news that the company has confirmed a number of significant upgrades that will be part of the 2024 trim of their popular Polestar 2 car.
After downgrading their initial production targets last year from 65,000 units to 50,000, Polestar finished the year strong. Their preliminary estimates of 51,500 cars being produced in 2022 was a pleasantly surprising 3% increase from where they previously hoped to land. This appears to have been achieved largely due to an exceptionally strong Q4, which saw 21,000 vehicles roll off their assembly lines. That dwarfed the 9,215 cars from Q3, and nearly matched the 21,200 produced in the first half of l2022.
