In the 1920s, a woman with 10 children made national headlines after she killed her teen daughter and the girl’s baby after discovering that her offspring had given birth out of wedlock.
Christine Stavole was a mother of 10 children in Red Bank, New Jersey in 1927. Obviously, she had a lot of responsibilities, to the point that she tragically reached the breaking point with her 15-year-old daughter Rose, and snapped in a horrific and unexpected way.
Rose had gotten pregnant and managed to hide her condition from her mother right up until after the child was born. However, the jig was up after the birth. The teen hid in the family’s basement with the baby but the commotion attracted her mother.
