Most Recent Use Case May Be SHIB’s Most Important Catalyst
Shiba Inu is continuing to make an impact in the world of crypto
After surging to all-time highs earlier this year, the Shiba Inu (SHIB) cryptocurrency has fallen in price, seemingly struggling to find utility to match the fervent support by holders. While the token has begun accumulating use cases, the most recent may be their most important catalyst of all — being accepted as a form of payment by popular online crypto payment platform BitPay.
In addition to being added on to more and more crypto exchanges, SHIB has also quietly been finding partners will to accept them as a form of payment. AMC, Newegg and Travala have all recently taken the plunge, allowing for the crypto to start building an impressive foundation of use cases. However, joining up with BitPay may well prove to be their most important collaboration.
BitPay was established in 2011 and allows merchants working with them to accept certain cryptocurrencies, centered around Bitcoin, as payment. The majority of their business is currently in the United States, although they have a presence in a number of other companies around the world. Most of these users are small businesses, as larger corporations have been slower to embrace and accept blockchain finance to date.
