Joe Biden Has Dropped His Bid For Re-Election; Who Should Replace Him?
American politics are in upheaval given the shocking news coming out of the 2024 Presidential race
In news that is both not surprising, yet still shocking, President Joe Biden has officially bowed out of his bid for re-election. The move has been clamored for especially hard in recent weeks after the 81-year-old had a disappointing performance in a debate against challenger, Donald Trump, which only exacerbated concerns about his age and vitality. Now that Democrats are starting from scratch, who will be chosen to be their nominee?
Biden dropping out is not a sign of weakness, but rather an indicator of his greatness. Regardless of when he has shown moments of weakness, he was able to recognize that regardless if it was fair or not, the tide had turned against his candidacy. The necessity of defeating Trump and his mixed bag of ineptness and desire for revenge and power makes the current President heroic in doing what needed to be done in order to give the country a puncher’s chance of defeating one of the greatest threats in its history.
