DraftKings Offers Free Bonus Ahead Of Louisiana Online Sports Betting Launch
The growing gaming company is hoping to establish a strong customer base in one of their newest states of legalization
Louisiana is in the process of launching sports betting in the state. While retail sports betting already went live last month, the opening of online gambling is expected to open at some point in the coming weeks. In preparation of that significant milestone, growing gaming company DraftKings has started a special giveaway promotion to entice users from the Bayou State.
Sports betting was made legal in Louisiana in June 2021, following the signing of SB247 into law. The measure permits both online and retail betting, but full roll out has been slow to date. Retail betting commenced in November and there has yet to be a specific date pinpointed for online gaming, although January, 2022 has been widely believed to be when this will occur.
Online gambling companies have been eagerly awaiting when they can officially open for business in Louisiana and are already jostling to gain the attention and favor of gamblers. DraftKings, a leading presence in the sector, has announced a special offer in the hopes to start building a customer base.
