Donald Trump Is Literally Telling Voters They Won’t Have To Vote Again After 2024

The Republican nominee in the upcoming election made recent insinuations that he may make sweeping changes to American democracy should he regain office

Among the numerous criticisms and concerns levied against Presidential candidate Donald Trump is his suspected desire to dismantle and/or dramatically alter the fabric of American democracy. Although he has pushed back at such assertions, the words out of his own mouth can tell a different story, including his recent remarks at a rally where he promised those in attendance that if they voted for him in 2024, they would never have to vote again.

The heart of the concerns over Trump’s increasing lean into authoritarianism are his strengthening connections to Project 2025, which is an initiative by the Heritage Foundation, a conservative think tank. Their stated goals are reshaping the future of the federal government. Launched in 2023, they seek to develop a comprehensive blueprint for transforming federal agencies and policies by 2025.
