Did The CIA Consider Using Condoms To Thwart The Russians During The Cold War?

When it comes to geo-political strife, any number of strategies are considered and used when it comes to subduing an enemy. The Cold War, a long-standing faceoff between the United States and Russia, and both sides’ respective allies, led to nearly 50 years of almost unimaginable tensions. Both left no stone unturned when seeking ways to gain an advantage, and this included the U.S., whose Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) reportedly considered using condoms to make Russians feel inferior and intimidated by Americans.
Between 1947 and 1989, the icy relations between Russia and the United States was dubbed the Cold War. A standoff between communism and democracy, the divergence of the two sprawling nations created a rivalry where each was in a constant state of trying to undermine the other. A key combatant in this was the CIA.
