Crypto Leader Solana To Release A Crypto Cell Phone

The Saga will be the newest venture coming out of of the Solana network

Solana (SOL) is by market cap currently the seventh largest cryptocurrency in the world. Known for its ability to process high numbers of digital transactions in a short amount of time, it has, like just about every other crypto, experienced extreme pain in recent months. However, it has continued forging ahead with building its blockchain and other business interests, including the recent news that they are releasing a crypto cellphone.

Chris Welch of The Verge reported that a phone that was originally designed and developed by Essential under the name of the Osom OV1 has been absorbed by Solana with the intent to both rename it and focus its utility on crypto.

This new Solana phone will be called the Saga and is expected to first be delivered to customers in Q1 of 2023. Welch indicates that specs of the phone include “a 6.67-inch 120Hz OLED display, 512GB of storage, and 12GB of RAM. It’ll be powered by Qualcomm’s latest Snapdragon 8 Plus Gen 1 chip and is outfitted with a 50-megapixel primary camera, plus a 12-megapixel ultra-wide shooter.“ The device can be obtained for $1,000 with a $100 deposit.
