After Major Overhaul Lucid Motors Now Reportedly Building 40–50 Cars Per Day

The EV manufacturer has made some changes to get back on track to reach production numbers after a disappointing start to 2022

After significantly cutting 2022 projections twice, EV manufacturer Lucid Motors found themselves in a difficult position. The up and coming company wasn’t able to exactly roar on to the scene after completing a SPAC merger late in 2021, at least when it came to production. However, after a recent overhaul in management and logistics, they are now reportedly consistently producing 40–50 vehicles daily.

The initial Lucid Air Dream edition wowed the market with its impressive specs. Its horsepower reaches 1,080 and goes from 0 to 60 MPH in 2.5 seconds. Additionally, their DC fast charger provides up to an impressive 300 miles of charge in just 20 minutes. Drivers top out at a record 520 miles per single charge and initial reviews of the vehicle were beyond glowing. The positive reception was finished off by it being named the MotorTrend 2022 Car of the Year

Despite all of their tremendous early press and reviews, Lucid was only able to get its first 125 vehicles to drivers in 2021. Material shortages and trying to sort out manufacturing logistics led to them…
