Baseball is so strongly interwoven with American culture that over the years many players have appeared in various forms of popular culture, well outside of the diamond. A popular platform has been guest star stints on popular television shows. Some have been more memorable than others (Can anyone ever forget the allegedly spitting Keith Hernandez on Seinfeld?), but each occurrence is a fun easter egg for contemporary and future fans to find. Here are seven instances of baseball Hall of Famers appearing on hit TV shows that don’t get the attention they should

Nolan Ryan- Ryan’s Hope:

Ryan’s Hope was an ABC soap opera that ran from 1975–1989. The fire-balling right-handed pitcher actually made a three episode guest appearance in 1975 while he was pitching for the California Angels. Playing a hospital patient, he clearly didn’t suffer any arm injuries.
