10 Baseball Players From The Past I Wish I Could Have Seen Play
There are plenty of MLB stars from the past but a select few are ones who were not to be missed
Sadly, hardcore baseball fans are limited to the players during their lifetime that they can see in person. It’s not the same for those who have video footage available of their exploits. Looking back at the amazing athletes who have graced a diamond over the years, who would you choose as the players you most fervently wish you could have seen play in person. I know I have my list.
I was born in 1978 and have been fortunate to see many great players during my lifetime. However, professional baseball existed for more than a century before I was a twinkle in my parents’ eyes, so I have missed out on some true legends. Being a huge hound of the history of the game, my mind has been littered by the improbable legends and breathtaking stars who came before. After much careful consideration, here are the 10 players I want to see most if I somehow get access to a time machine (in no particular order).
Babe Ruth: Getting the obvious one out of the way, how could any fan not want to see the Bambino in all his glory, swatting home runs and eating copious amounts of hot dogs? Here’s the thing though; I’d want to see him at various stages…
